Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Brands Have Record-Setting 2017 With 48 Hotel Openings Worldwide

The Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands continue their growth trajectory in key markets with the opening of 48 new hotels between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.

The Hyatt Place brand crossed the 300th hotel threshold with four openings during the last week of December 2017 – Hyatt Place Zhuhai Jinshi in China, Hyatt Place Keystone in Colo., Hyatt Place Hyderabad Banjara Hills in India, and Hyatt Place Knoxville/Downtown in Tenn. Hotel Loyalty Program Partnerships Critical to Customer Satisfaction, J.D. Power Finds

Having a diverse portfolio of reward options with hotel loyalty rewards programs is a key driver of member satisfaction. According to the J.D. Power 2017 Hotel Loyalty Program Satisfaction Study,SM overall satisfaction is higher among program members who redeem rewards for dining, product purchases and special events than among those redeeming rewards for hotel stays alone.

The study measures customer satisfaction by examining four factors (in order of importance): ease of earning and redeeming rewards (35%); program benefits (27%); account management (22%); and member communication (16%). Satisfaction is measured on a 1,000-point scale.

Dubai on track for another record year, with tourist arrivals Up 7.5% at the end of Q3 2017

Dubai has maintained its strong performance through 2017 and is on track for another record year in terms of tourist volumes, according to the latest data released by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism). UAE tourism and travel spending forecast to exceed $56 billion by 2022: analysis

Spending within the UAE’s travel and tourism sector is expected to rise steadily over the next five years and reach over $56 billion in 2022 as new mega projects come to market, a recent analysis conducted by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry showed.

The analysis, based on new data from Business Monitor International (BMI) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) revealed that total spending in the sector is predicted to increase 4.5% year on year in 2017 to reach over $42 billion.

Nakheel continues AED5 billion hospitality expansion with ground-breaking AED240 million hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall

Dubai master developer Nakheel today broke ground on a new, 375-room hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall, with a total project value of AED240 million.

The ground-breaking ceremony – Nakheel’s second in a week – was led by Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah and comes a month after the company handed a construction contract worth AED184.5 million to Dubai-based Parkway International Contracting LLC to build the hotel, which will be operated by Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group under the AVANI brand.
