Aimia Accepts $450m Offer for Aeroplan

Loyalty analytics company Aimia has agreed to sell its Aeroplan business to an Air-Canada led consortium which includes TD Bank, CIBC and Visa Canada Corp.

Emirates SkyCargo transports flood relief cargo for Kerala

Emirates SkyCargo will carry flood relief cargo of over 175 tons to Kerala, India, joining the UAE community in their support of the people of Kerala. Over more than a dozen flights, the air cargo operator will transport the relief goods, which have been donated by various UAE-based businesses and organisations, to Thiruvananthapuram – the nearest online Emirates station to the areas most affected by the flood. The goods, including lifesaving boats, blankets and dry food items, will be handed over to the local flood relief and aid organisations for distribution.

Roughly half of airline loyalty program members do not understand how to earn or redeem their points/miles, according to the J.D. Dubai to host the first Global Investment in Aviation Summit

Dubai will host the first Global Investment in Aviation Summit, GIAS, – a major aviation conference – to be attended by the world’s 500 top aviation investors, as the UAE emerges as the region’s biggest aviation hubs.

10X initiatives of Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) aim to provide unique travel experiences

Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) has introduced new projects aimed at developing the aviation industry under the umbrella of the Dubai 10X initiative.

The ‘Retractable Aircraft Cabin’ project will enable airlines to re-distribute their capacity on demand for each flight in record time while the aircraft is on the airport floor. Passenger traffic at DXB tops 7.9 million in January

Passenger traffic at Dubai International (DXB) exceeded 7.9 million in January, according to the traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports today.

DXB welcomed a total of 7,960,146 passengers in January, a small reduction of 1% compared to 8,037,008 recorded in January 2017 when passenger volumes were boosted due to Chinese New Year which fell in February this year.
